Aging-in-place gets figured out by accident, after a fall, after a hospital stay, after a phone call from a neighbor. NestLonger exists so adult children can get ahead of it.
The home safety industry is a maze. Aging-in-place modifications are scattered across handymen, contractors, occupational therapists, insurance plans, state programs, and a long tail of well-meaning nonprofits. The information is everywhere and trustworthy almost nowhere.
Meanwhile, the people who need this most, adult children, age 45-60, helping a parent, are short on time. They have full-time jobs, kids of their own, and a parent who insists they’re "fine." When they finally start looking, they’re already behind.
We started with the simplest, highest-impact intervention: grab bars. We’re growing into ADUs next, then home modifications more broadly. The model is the same one that worked for solar (EnergySage) and auto insurance (EverQuote): own intent through honest content, refer families to vetted local pros, get paid only when something good happens.
Matthew has spent two decades building demand-generation businesses where the consumer’s biggest enemy is information asymmetry, travel, solar, insurance. NestLonger applies the same playbook to a category that needs it more than any of them.
“Aging at home shouldn’t mean figuring it out alone. It should feel like a network, one your parent earned, and you can finally lean on.” Matthew Mamet
The buyer is the daughter, the son, the niece. We write to them, and we never call their parent a "senior" or "loved one."
Reducing hazards at home cuts falls by about 26%, per a 2023 Cochrane review (PubMed 36893804). That’s the headline. The category is heavy enough; we don’t need to add to it.
Every partner is licensed, insured, and aging-in-place trained. We’d send our own parent. That’s the bar.
We’re paid by partners on closed referrals, not on leads, not on subscriptions. Our incentive is your incentive.
That’s the whole brief. If you’re trying to help your mom or dad stay in their home, start with the grab bars, then talk to us about an ADU when you’re ready. We’ll be here.
